Notes from PTLN
Today we had the opportunity to have a DM twitter interview with Talisha Janice, founder of #TwitterBibleStudy. Very awesome worker for God. She has been operating this ministry online for over a month now and it has awakend a large interest in the Twitter community for the Bible. Through her ministry people are seeking after God, some have ridiculed her but she has stood forward with the banner of Jesus Christ. @ptlnetwork: Oh great! There are 10 questions. Is that ok?
@TalishaJanice: That’s fine the more the better.
@ptlnetwork: Great! The first question is; for our readers who may not know you, how would you describe yourself?
@TalishaJanice: I am shy initially, but once I get to know people I open up. I love to research and read. I am forgiving and I just want to share the truth.
@ptlnetwork: You seem to have turned twitter into a wonderful ministry tool, how did the idea first come to you?
@TalishaJanice: The idea came as I realized how many tweets I had. I had over 18,000 at the time and I asked myself; “How many were used for God’s kingdom?” It started out with just the book of Revelation, because I feel it is needed in these last days. Then afterwards I went back to Genesis.
@ptlnetwork: Oh ok, So it all started with the book of Genesis? So it was around last year December?
@TalishaJanice: No, it started about a month ago I would say. I started in Revelation so I could tell people to accept Christ as their Lord to save them.
@ptlnetwork: But wow, 18,000 Tweets! That’s amazing! What are all the different hastag (#) ministries you operate on Twitter?

@ptlnetwork: Wow, #AcceptChristNow that’s beautiful. Bringing it home to individuals to give there hearts to Christ.
@ptlnetwork: What are your favorite things to tweet about?
@TalishaJanice: I love to joke. I also love to tweet about the deception of this world and tell others that God is the only true God.
@ptlnetwork: Your tweets are very funny! Especially the #YaMamaNem tweets, lol. Awareness to deceptions is a busy task right? Checking news alot?
@TalishaJanice: No, many of the things are hidden in plain sight like the back of the dollar with the all seeing eye, which is Horus, an Egyptian god.
@ptlnetwork: Oh yes! There are a lot of secrets on that ol’ dollar bill. Amazing how little things are hidden but always in view.
@ptlnetwork: What is your ultimate goal with the tweet ministry? You can be as detailed as you need.
@TalishaJanice: The Bible teaches that; “today is the day of salvation.” It is to tell people that there is only One God. That is; The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, and I pray that they accept Him.
@ptlnetwork: Amen, that is an awesome goal. We pray the same. Where you ever at a point when you felt that you could never see yourself doing this?
@TalishaJanice: Yes, actually not that long ago. I wasn’t ashamed of the Gospel. I just knew that people from my past would remember the “Old Talisha.”
@ptlnetwork: Wonderful. Wow, so it’s a shock to them to see the “Old Talisha” sharing the Gospel.
@ptlnetwork: What type of controversy have you faced on twitter being that it’s so open, with many ideologies and views? How do you deal with it?
@TalishaJanice: I was attacked on the internet by an Atheist that wrote an article about me on reddit.com. Called me crazy, but I will be a #Fool4Christ.

@ptlnetwork: Wow, that’s amazing; “Matthew 5:11: Blessed are ye, when men shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.”
@TalishaJanice: They don’t realize that once you truly accept Christ as Lord, you allow Him to lead your life and that is what I’m striving for now, but in all I see it as an opportunity to have frank discussions with Atheists, as well as people of other faiths.
@ptlnetwork: What was it like when you first gave your heart to Christ?
@TalishaJanice: I was raised a “Holiday Catholic” I started asking my mom why we believed that we should pray to saints when God said we are to pray to Him. I kept inquiring, and we began praying together. But it wasn’t until I was 15 and pregnant that I was baptized in Christ.
@ptlnetwork: A “Holiday Catholic” wow amazing. To God be the Glory for how He has brought you.
@ptlnetwork: By they way what Christian faith do you represent?
@TalishaJanice: I have grown to not believe in demoninations. I feel they separate us on minor things. I believe in the totality of God, I know God came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to become the perfect sacrifice for our sins, He rose on the 3rd day, and Jesus is seated at the right hand of God the Father. I know that Jesus is coming again to claim all those that belong to Him.
@ptlnetwork: Praise the Lord. What a powerful testimony. What type of positive responses do you get from your tweet followers?
@TalishaJanice: I get people saying that; “If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have read the Bible today.” But it’s not me, it is God that the glory belongs to. My followers love #TwitterBibleStudy. Even the ones that don’t read a scripture–when I tweet, the seed is planted.
@ptlnetwork: Amen, you never know the results of sincere ministry till we get to that Heavenly place and meet those whom you’ve blessed.
@ptlnetwork: What words would you like to leave with those wondering what their ministry is, and if they are hesitant to lead people to Christ?
@TalishaJanice: I will say this, in Matthew 28 Christ Himself charged us–not just the apostles to make disciples of all people. So #JustDoIt.

It is. It’s so amazing how something as twitter can make a large impact in the lives of others. I like that text; “I Corinthians 3:6: I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.”
